ARTIST INTRODUCTION

First and foremost, thank you for visiting my website and taking an interest in my work, I am honored. I guess it would make for me to introduce myself a little in my first blog post.

I grew up with a father who was enamored with film photography. And somewhere it left a lasting impression on me. I was always drawn to photography, mostly of the documentary, travel, and landscape type. It was not until I ended up working, in marketing, for one of the largest camera manufacturers in the world, that I got my chance to really learn photography. It was a combination of having the equipment, the knowledge base, and the opportunity to learn. For my job, I had to familiarize myself with the technical aspects of all the equipment. At the same time, I was interacting with some of the most talented photographers of our time. Needless to say, it was a golden opportunity to learn photography. And I did my best to do so.

Eventually, I decided to strike out on my own, to take that step to turn my passion and hobby into an income-generating profession. Not an easy choice, and there were many times when I wondered whether I had made the right choice. A few years on now, I can say I made the right decision and have no regrets. I am still learning every day, driven by my desire to constantly improve my skills, and evolve my craft.

With this blog, I want to share my journey, my experiences, and, hopefully, some of the things that I have learned along the way.
